Small Tapestry International 2: Passages will be on exhibit at Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen, Glen Allen, Virginia September 13 – October 30, 2011. Opening reception, Sept. 15,2011 7:00 – 9:00 pm. The is an American Tapestry Alliance exhibition of small format tapestries juried by Kay Lawrence from Australia. “TAPESTRY EXPRESSIONS”: An exhibition by members of Tapis (Tapestry Weavers from Vancouver Island) at the McMillan Art Centre, 133 McMillan Street, Parksville, BC. Gallery hours are Tuesday – Saturday, September 13 to October 1, 2011 open from 10 am to 4 pm. Most days will have demonstrations by participating tapestry artists.
Weavers Retreat: scheduled for March 30, April 1 and 2, 2012: hosted by the Qualicum Beach Weavers and Spinners Guild will be held in Parksville. Further details to follow.
Convergence 2012: Long Beach, California. This conference is sponsored by the Handweavers Guild of America and will be held July 15 to 21, 2012.
