Recipe: Gail’s Apple Dessert

Gail’s Apple Dessert
6 TART APPLES
1\4 CUP BROWN SUGAR
1 TSP. CINNAMON
1\4 TSP. NUTMEG
2 TBS. BUTTER
1\4 CUP HOT WATER
PARE AND SLICE APPLES. ARRANGE ON BOTTOM OF GREASED 10” PIE PLATE. MIX SUGAR AND SPICES AND SPRINKLE OVER APPLES. DOT WITH BUTTER AND POUR WATER OVER EVERYTHING.

2 EGGS
1 CUP SUGAR
4 TBS. MELTED BUTTER
2\3 CUPS FLOUR
1 1\2 TSP. BAKING POWDER
PINCH OF SALT
BEAT ALL THESE INGREDIENTS TOGETHER UNTIL
THICK AND POUR OVER APPLE MIXTURE.

BAKE AT 350 DEG. F. FOR 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL DONE AND TOP IS LIGHTLY BROWNED.
SERVE WITH WHIPPED CREAM OR ICE CREAM (OPTIONAL).
