Jiffy Chocolate Cake
All purpose flour 1 3/4 cup.
Granulated sugar 1 cup
Cocoa 1/4 cup.
Butter or margarine, softened 1/4 cup.
Baking powder 1 tsp.
Baking soda 1 tsp.
Salt 1/2 tsp.
Egg 1
Vanilla 1 tsp.
Hot water 1 cup.
Preheat oven to 350. In mixing bowel measure all ingredients in order given. Beat until smooth. Pour into greased 8x9 inch square pan. Bake for 30-40 minutes until an inserted tooth pick comes out clean. This recipe can be doubled and baked in a 9x13 inch pan.
