Recipe: Apple Crisp
Apple Crisp
4 cups sliced cooking apples (4 - 6 medium apples)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/3 cup sifted flour
1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats (don't cook)
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
5 tablespoons melted butter
Heat oven to 375 degrees F
Wash the apples. Peel and cut them into slices
Grease a shallow baking pan with butter
Arrange sliced apples on the bottom of the pan
Pour lemon juice over the apples
Sift the flour and add it to sugar, cinnamon and rolled oats in a mixing bowl
Mix them all together
Pour the melted butter over this mixture and stir until it is all crumbly
Now pour this crumbly mixture over the apples in the baking dish
Bake for 30 minutes
